We all have places that we would love to visit and things we would love to do there. But for all the anime fans there is only one place where we would love to visit. It’s a no brainer, the place is Japan. Since every anime is based in Japan, we start to get envious of certain things that the anime characters get to do that we can’t. It kinda makes us jealous of them.
So here are 15 things that we all want to do when we visit Japan (Anime influenced):
1. Eat A Big Fat Bowl Of Mouth-watering Japanese Style Ramen Noodles
Eating Japanese style ramen noodles in front of a counter of a ramen shop has to be on the top of your list.
Ramen noodles are one of the classic Japanese dishes that has been hyped up due to animes, especially Naruto’s Echiraku Ramen Noodles.
Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. One more dish you would like to try could be Shushi and maybe even try drinking Sake.
2. Let’s Go Karaoke
Going karaoke is one of the go-to things for students from high school anime.
Singing at karaoke with a group of friends and eating food is a nice way to blow off some steam, especially after a tough day.
3. Watch Cherry Blossom- Arguably The Best Sight Of Nature
Watching cherry blossoms live through your own eyes and not just through a phone screen is something else.
Cherry blossoms are one of the most beautiful visuals/scenery of nature.
Having a picnic under a cherry blossom tree would be the cherry on top.
Taking a bath in a natural hot spring is the best way of releasing stress.
People in Japan can do this whenever they want, that’s not fair right?.
Though it might be awkward for a lot of us to take a bath in a hot spring with a bunch of strangers.
5. Walking Across The Iconic Shibuya Crossing
Come on this has to be on your list as well. In anime, the Shibuya crossing looks so majestic, crowded and busy. No wonder it’s called the most popular crossing of the world.
Just imagine being there at that spot where countless anime scenes have been picturised.
Man, that has to give you goosebumps.
6. Find Out What’s So Special About Japanese Convenience Stores
I never understood why are Japanese convenience stores so hyped up in anime.
In anime, the characters eat more at the store than at their own house.
So I wanna check what’s so special about them with my own eyes.
7. Go On A Ninja Your Or Take A 1hr Class On Shinobi Training
This is for all the Naruto fans out there. Dressing up like a shinobi and going on a ninja tour could be a dream come true.
It could be like a day in the life of a ninja.
If you are feeling bold and courageous then you could even take part in shinobi training to get a first-hand experience of what it takes to be a shinobi in real life.
8. Visit A Maid Cafe
It’s pretty obvious that everyone goes to the cafe to check out the kawaii maids and not the food. |
Why will you go there?. I leave that for you to decide!
9. Relax By Lying Next To The River On the Side Of The Bridge
This is another classic from anime. I can’t count how many anime have used this scene.
Just lying in the grass on a windy afternoon while watching the sunset makes you feel like everything around is moving in slow motion.
10. Take Part In The Annual Summer Festival
In Japan, they have an annual summer festival where you get to try different types food, play games and even watch fireworks.
You could even wear a traditional Kimono if you want.
It’s a nice way to have a blast with a group of friends or just watch the fireworks with someone special by your side. That ought to make your day.
11. Visit A Legit Manga Store That You Can Only Find In Japan
Anime can’t be made without a manga. Every anime is based on a particular manga. I can’t stress enough the essence of manga in the anime industry.
It would kinda cool to visit an Original Japanese style manga store where you will have the license to let your inner otaku run wild.
12. Try How It Feels To Drink Something Out Of The Vending Machine
I feel the Japanese are so lucky on this front. There is not a single corner where you might not find a vending machine.
In anime, they show that they even have them in schools for the students for crying out loud.
This may sound like a small childish wish to a lot of people but it’s just one of those things that can give you the high school anime vibe.
13. Play At The Arcade And See For Yourself Does It Stand True To Its Hype
Going to the arcade is a popular choice for people to hang out with their friends, a go-to place for gamers or even a date destination for young couples.
You can even try your luck by playing Pachinko. Let’s see if it’s really as fun as they say.
14. Climbing Mount Fuji
I know, I know, people who love to watch anime aren’t the most athletic ones. Climbing Mount Fuji is definitely not going to be on your list.
So if you don’t want to climb it, then you could abroad a train that goes across the area around the mount just like they do in anime.
15. Rent A Girlfriend
There are various online Japanese websites where you can rent a girlfriend for a day and take her on a date just like you see in anime.
A lot of people have started wishing to do this courtesy of the highly popular anime ” Rent A Girlfriend”.
Still, all these things kept aside, we can’t just suddenly fly to Japan to do these things. So just bite your time unless that day comes and when it does enjoy your heart out so that you have no regrets.
Comment down below if there are things that you would love to do when you visit Japan that you might have seen in the anime, below that I haven’t mentioned.
